OPAL – Learning through play
On a cold January 2025, Sherburn Primary began their OPAL journey with the aim to provide our children with rich and diverse play opportunities.
OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) is an award-winning program that helps schools enhance outdoor play opportunities for children.
Along with our OPAL mentor we have been developing areas of our grounds and play resources to provide a challeging eviroment full of amazing opportunities to play collabotatively, creatively and safely.
We have seen our playtimes develop from a sparse fun free areas to an amazing array of activities and play stimulus .
