Friends of the School

Our Friends and Fundraisers Group works really hard to support the school and provide the ‘little extras’ for the children that help make their life in school more enjoyable.  They are always looking for more helpers as ‘many hands make light work’ and it’s a great way to become involved in our school community and make new friends.  Due to the current pandemic we are not planning any events at present but hope to resume again as soon as we are able.

Our Summer Fayre this year is on Friday 15th July at 2pm at the Village Site. We are working hard to make this a success and if you are able to help in any way, please contact the school.  Children had a non-uniform day on Friday 8th July and brought in donations of chocolate for our chocolate tombola for the Fayre.  One of our children came in their traditional dress – take a look at how lovely she looked!  She told us that “When my dad was in India visiting his family he bought me some dresses but this one is my favourite.”

 

In December last year they held a ‘Movie Night’ where they provided after school childcare and the children enjoyed a Christmas Movie and snacks on their comfy rugs in the school hall whilst parents finished off their last minute Christmas shopping!

 

Our Christmas Fair was also a huge success and they raised a record breaking total of £1,191.70 which is being used to buy a new sound system for the school hall.  Our last Christmas production was the talk of the Village and with new and improved microphones and sound system this will benefit the children greatly!
