I began teaching at Sherburn Village Primary School in 2002. Over the years, I have held a number of roles and responsibilities including:  History/Geography coordinator, IT lead, SENCo and more recently, English subject lead. I am currently Deputy Head Teacher of Sherburn Primary and form part of the School’s Leadership Team.

Being a staff governor since 2009, I have seen many changes, including the Federation of Sherburn Hill and Sherburn Village Primary Schools and the more recent amalgamation of the two schools in 2015.

I am a passionate advocate of education and the opportunities it brings. Therefore, I believe that our children deserve the very best and that all decisions made by the governing body should have their best interests at heart.
