I was appointed as Governor at Sherburn Primary School in 2018 and am currently the Vice Chair of Governors. My current and previous roles within the County and Community are as follows:
- I have been a School governor at Pittington Primary School for over 25 years-much of that as Chair
- Former Parish Councillor for Pittington
- Former Durham City Councillor 1986-2009 Leader 1994-97
- Member of Pittington Hall Management Committee for nearly 30 years
- Church organist at Easington Lane Lyons Parish Church
- Honary Alderman of Durham City.
- Currently Durham County Councillor for Sherburn Division as well as a parish councillor for West Rainton
- Recent Chairman of Durham County Council and Mayor of City of Durham.
